On Saturday, January 19, 2008, the public was invited by the City of Fort Bragg and Mendocino County to attend a Wave Energy Forum. The Forum has since been described as the most important ocean energy meeting to date in California.

Information about wave energy was provided by a variety of stakeholder perspectives, including: industry representatives, State and Federal marine resource agencies, State and Federal regulatory agencies,representatives of commercial and recreational fishing organizations, and others.
